Expert Tubular Inspections
Premier Tubular Inspection Services (PTIS) provides technological support for directional drilling, casing drilling, and bore-hole enlargement. All inspection services are provided as per latest API specifications and DS1 Cat 1-4 specifications and also meeting the client's specifications.
Drill Pipe Inspection
Drill inspection is executed as per customer-nominated standards, using case-appropriate techniques. Electromagnetic Inspection (EMI) units are utilized at intervals guided by drilling conditions and past failure experiences. A.C. Yoke Magnetic Flow technique is used for most inspections, while sandblasting units are employed to prepare inspection surfaces.
Ultrasonic (UT), electromagnetic inspection (EMI), magnetic particle (MPI), and multiple dimensional checks are used to detect defects that are crucial to preventing downhole failures, saving you potential downtime and reducing costs.
Our inspections are performed in-plant or in the field using proprietary Tuboscope inspection equipment and software. All tool joint and tubular inspection services are carried out in accordance with compliant industry standards.
BHA: Bottom Hole Assembly Inspection
A well-maintained bottom-hole assembly supports a high drilling performance. PTIS conducts BHA inspections as per API RP7, DS1, NS2, or other standards as nominated by the commissioning clients.
At PTIS we can accommodate all sorts of BHA inspections, like visual threads inspection, backlight inspection of connection, threads profiling gauge, dimensional inspection, visual tube inspection, magnetic particle inspection, dye penetrant inspection, and refacing.
We cover all aspects of the BHA inspection including, drill collars, heavy weight drill pipes, cross over subs, stabilizers, reamers, bit subs, down hole BHA, and speciality tools etc.
Tubing and Casing Inspection
From a visual inspection of the body (and thread) to identify external damage, to full-length drifting of the tubular structures, all are performed by PTIS. Additionally, maintenance services, namely cleaning, coating, hardness-testing, thread-gauging, and ultrasonic wall-thickness measurement are conducted by PTIS technicians.
Casing and tubing strings are the main parts of the well construction. All wells for the purpose of oil or gas production must have strength and functionality materials. When we receive, Casing and tubing Inspection are important to ensure that defects or wear do not prevent the tubing from performing as designed.
